The Shenzhen-based Chinese smartphone company, Gionee has officially listed the Gionee Marathon M5 Lite in Chine at a price tag of CNY 999 (Rs. 10,000 approximately). However, there is no official word from the company side regarding the smartphone’s release, price and availability in India and other countries, but interesting details about the Marathon M5 Lite have popped up.
The Gionee Marathon M5 Lite boasts a 5-inch HD IPS display with screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels at 293 PPI. Powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.3GHz and paired with 1GB of RAM, the handset offers 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
The M5 Lite sports an 8MP AF rear camera with LED flash support and a 5MP front-facing camera. The device runs on Amigo 3.0 UI, which is based on Android Lollipop 5.1 operating system.
Connectivity-wise, the dual-SIM Gionee Marathon M5 Lite supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, micro-USB 2.0 and a 3.5mm headset jack.
A 4,000 mAh Li-Po battery powers the Gionee Marathon M5 Lite, which company touts to deliver up to 40 hours of Talktime and 39 days of standby time.
