The pocket-friendly Kindle e-book reader by Amazon is now available in white colour along with the black colour in which the device was originally launched. You can buy this tablet on Amazon.in and also through 680 retail stores that are spread throughout the country at Rs 5,999.
The main highlighting feature of this tablet has always been its 6-inch glare-free screen that is super easy to read even in very bright sunlight. This glare-free display along with the book like feel comes at a price, though.
It is impossible to read this e-book in the absence of light as there is no backlight available. The Kindle comes with 4GB internal storage and has got free cloud support for backing up all Amazon content.
Some other interesting features include Goodreads integration, Vocabulary Builder and Word Wise that make the whole reading experience more immersive. The Kindle also comes with Wi-Fi connectivity and the battery, according to the company’s claim could support the device for a whole week at optimal settings.
Amazon has also released the pay to borrow service named Kindle unlimited that is priced at Rs. 199 per month, inaugural. This service allows the user to read as many as 10 e-books at a time from the many titles that are available on the e-store. This service is also available through the Kindle app that is available on both android and iOS platforms.
