Huawei has been one of the industry leaders when it comes to innovation. Moving on from the reverse wireless charging on the Mate 20 Pro, the Chinese giant is now planning to unveil the all-new Huawei Nova 4 with an In-display camera.
The device has earlier made its appearance through a couple of leaks and concept renders. Now, the company has confirmed the launch date to be December 17, via a teaser on its official Weibo page.
The image shows off the basic design outline of the smartphone which reveals an edge-to-edge curved display. The key highlight of the same will be ‘punch-hole’ cutout in the top-left corner for the front-facing camera. One can also notice the little chin at the bottom while the power button and volume rockers sit in the right frame. Such a design will allow for an impressive screen-to-body ratio.
Moreover, the Huawei Nova 4 is expected to pack in Huawei’s latest flagship Kirin 980 SoC, based on 7nm process. The just unveiled Mate 20 and Honor Magic 2 too incorporate the same processor.
Furthermore, the phone is expected to feature 6GB of RAM, 128GB of onboard storage and Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box. The render posted previously by Ben Geskin suggests the implementation of a triple vertical camera set up at the back. Also, there is no physical fingerprint scanner placement, and hence there’s a high possibility of the phone to be adorned by an In-display fingerprint scanner.
With the Huawei Nova 4, the company will be directly competing the Korean giant Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A8s. As of now, we don’t know much about the phone. Given that the launch is near, let’s keep an eye on the same. Stay tuned.
